The needles and sinkers in these machines are arranged in a circle. Circular knit fabric has a gauge of 12 to 22. The higher the gauge is, the thinner the fabric.

The main advantage of circular knitting is the extremely high speeds at which it produces continuous lengths of fabric, thus it is a cost-effective production method for bulk products.
